Ohio State is currently in the middle of their final weekend of hosting official visitors on campus this month.
For the last weekend of June, the Buckeyes rolled out the red carpet for nearly double digit prospects in the 2022 class. Nearly half of these targets were defensive linemen in the Rivals100, with those being Chris McClellan, Enai White, Kenyatta Jackson and Gabriel Dindy.
Unlike the players above, however, Dindy's visit started, and subsequently ended, early due to his father's schedule. With the official to Ohio State now in the books, Dindy spoke with BuckeyeGrove to discuss how it went, spending time with Larry Johnson and Ryan Day, and more.
“It went great,” Dindy told BuckeyeGrove. “The highlights were getting to meet the coaches and building a better relationship with them.”
Heading into this visit, we knew that one of the focal points would be on interacting with Johnson face-to-face for the first time. Dindy's father, Terrance, told us last month that the Buckeyes' development of defensive ends had left them "extremely impressed."
From his time with Johnson during the multi-day stay in Columbus, Dindy liked what he heard from him both as a coach and as a person.
