Arguably the most important month of recruiting in quite some time is starting to wind down.
Ohio State has hosted well over 100 visitors in June, and welcomed on campus yet another talented batches of prospects for their camp on Tuesday.
Over a half-dozen Rivals100 rising juniors journeyed out to Columbus a couple of days ago, with one of them being Caleb Downs. Downs, who is labeled by Rivals.com as the No. 81 overall prospect in his class, says this trip exceeded his expectations.
“I just wanted to see how things are up here,” Downs told BuckeyeGrove’s Kevin Noon. “How the coaches interact with their players. How the feel of the campus is. Knowing what the weather is, just everything. I wanted to see what it is… It met the standards of what I was looking for and it surpassed that.”
