Over the past few weeks, Ohio State has decided to expand their 2022 defensive line board several times.

Since the beginning of March, Larry Johnson has extended offers to a trio of recruits in the trenches, including defensive tackles Jamari Lyons and Domonique Orange. The most recent recipient of an offer from Johnson is Oklahoma-based junior Chris McClellan.

McClellan, who is the 11th-ranked prospect in his state, spoke with BuckeyeGrove about his reaction to being given the green light by the staff on Thursday.

“It was awesome,” McClellan said. “I had spoken with Larry Johnson… I had been speaking with him throughout the week. We set up a Zoom, and he said they were going to show me around and how Ohio State is. Then, when Coach Day got on there, I was surprised and very, very excited.”
