COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State's 2017 recruiting class may be one for the ages but there may be no bigger pull for Urban Meyer this offseason than the addition of Kevin Wilson to the coaching staff as the new offensive coordinator.

While many focused on the less than ideal manner that Wilson left the Indiana Hoosiers, there were just as many that were interested in how Wilson will fit within the offensive structure of the Buckeyes, a team that finished No. 31 in total offense and No. 13 in scoring offense last year despite getting shutout in the biggest game of the year.

Rewind to the 2015-16 season and the Hoosiers, under Wilson's lead, ranked better nationally in both total offense and scoring offense than the Buckeyes. Without nearly as many four and five-stars on the roster.

The Hoosiers had to rely more on scheme and development and now Wilson will get to use that scheme and have players with much higher upsides in Columbus.

"We have got high talent here but the talent that we had over there was really good too because we recruited and developed, what we did in the weight room and what we did off the field and what we did in practice," Wilson said.
