The Buckeyes added another Rivals100 commitment in Tyler Friday.

Ohio State took the first step towards a potentially strong finish to its 2018 recruiting class on Friday as the Buckeyes have landed a commitment from Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco defensive lineman Tyler Friday. The 6-foot-3, 260-pound prospect chose the Buckeyes over Alabama, Michigan, and many others to become commitment No. 23 for Ohio State. Friday announced his decision as part of a ceremony at Don Bosco this afternoon.

"I've decided to take my talents for the next four years to Ohio State," Friday said at his press conference.

Landing Friday signifies a big national win for Ohio State, particularly over rival Michigan who was the presumed leader for a long-time in this recruitment. Ohio State was in the mix the whole way, however, and made a big push for the four-star prospect over the past two months.
