In this day of social media and an over-saturation of information, it is rare to find a recruit who does not get wrapped up in the world of recruiting, if even for a minute. Tampa (Fla.) Armwood running back Brian Snead is the exception to that rule. Now the first player to commit to Ohio State for the class of 2018 is a signed member of the class after getting his paperwork sent in to Ohio State.

The four-star running back committed to Ohio State in July of 2016 and never wavered for a moment on his Ohio State pledge. That did not mean that other schools were not interested but Snead never answered any of those calls. He didn't answer recruiting calls either and even the Ohio State coaches joked that Snead was never easy to get on the phone for them as well.

FLASHBACK: Snead gives rare interview

Snead is ranked as the No. 59 player in the nation and the No. 6 running back in the nation. The Ohio state coaches may feel differently about that as Snead was the first back they made a major move on and surprise to everyone, Snead jumped on the offer and never backed down.

The newest Ohio State signee will not arrive on campus until the start of the summer and will find a crowded running back room that will see J.K. Dobbins, Mike Weber and Antonio Williams returning (at least as of today) and the additions of Master Teague and Jaelen Gill (Hill may see more time at H-Back than as a traditional back).

Snead played in 14 games in his senior season and ended the year with 1,329 yards and 16 touchdowns and broke the 100-yard mark in eight of those 14 games against some of the top competition in the state of Florida.
