Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann entered the offseason with two roster questions to address, and a whole lot of options in the transfer portal to do so.
One of those questions was answered Tuesday, as the Buckeyes found a replacement at point guard for redshirt senior CJ Walker, who is presumed to be turning pro despite another year of eligibility and no official announcement quite yet.
Two-time Big Ten All-Defensive team honoree and former Penn State guard Jamari Wheeler, one of seven Nittany Lions to enter the portal following the season, committed to Holtmann’s program this week, and could be a major lift for Ohio State ahead of the 2021-22 slate.
