There has been a lot of speculation recently about which prospect would end up being Ohio State's first commit in the 2019 class. On Saturday afternoon, the Buckeyes got that answer as Huntington (WV) Spring Valley offensive lineman Doug Nester gave the Buckeyes his verbal pledge.
The Rivals100 offensive lineman had made multiple visits to Ohio State during the spring and summer and was back on campus a few weeks ago, culminating in a commitment
The four-star prospect chose Ohio State over West Virginia, Alabama, Florida, and Virginia Tech and could start an avalance of commits for the Buckeyes in 2019 with several more targets seemingly close to pulling the trigger.
The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect plays tackle at the high school level but has the versatility to play outside or kick inside to guard at the college level.
BuckeyeGrove.com will have more on Nester's commitment shortly.
