Former Rivals100 defensive back Kendall Sheffield is back on the Ohio State radar in a big way. The former Missouri City (Texas) Fort Bend Marshall product signed with Alabama in the class of 2015 after considering Ohio State and many others.

After a year at Alabama, Sheffield transferred to Blinn Junior College in Texas where he will be eligible to return to the Division I football field in the fall.

Sheffield and his parents quietly made an Ohio State visit over the weekend and met with Ohio State on Tuesday afternoon as well.

"Yes, coach Meyer and coach Coombs," said Cecil Sheffield, Kendall's father, of the today's visit. "They visited me in Houston and Kendall in Brenham (Texas) today."

With the strong possibility of Ohio State losing both starting cornerbacks early to the NFL draft, Sheffield is a player that could potentially come in immediately and contribute in the fall if the Buckeyes were able to land him.

BuckeyeGrove.com will have more on this as it is available.
