CHICAGO - It is a rare feat for a football or basketball recruit to keep their decision under wraps for as long as De La Salle offensive tackle Jamarco Jones did through the process. The 6-foot-5, 285-pound offensive tackle went into Thursday's announcement ceremony with a top three of Ohio State, Michigan State and Michigan and three fan bases all waiting to see who would secure the rights to the Rivals100 star. After a short statement the suspense was over and the Buckeyes picked up a big piece to their future offensive line.
Jones is rated as the No. 97 player in the nation by Rivals.com and is the 3rd offensive lineman of the class in joining Kyle Trout and Marcelys Jones for the Buckeyes. Many felt that the Buckeyes led for Jones for most of the process but both the Spartans and Wolverines did a lot to keep it close and it came down to a final weekend trip to the three finalists for Jones to get one more look at each school.
Check out Jones during his big moment and see what he had to say about his decision in this free update.
