COLUMBUS, Ohio - The word on the street ended up being true on Tuesday when the Buckeyes announced that there would in fact be no season-long captains for 2011. Head coach Luke Fickell announced on Tuesday that the team would employ game captains and for week one Michael Brewster, John Simon and J.B. Shugarts will be at the 50-yard-line for the coin toss.
But what went behind that decision for Ohio State? We asked Fickell during his Tuesday press conference and also talked to the week one captains about the decision and their thoughts about it.
