Tufele narrows his list

Ohio State's top remaining defensive target, South Jordan (Utah) Bingham product Jay Tufele narrowed his list of potential college destinations on Saturday afternoon. The 6-foot-2, 306-pound prospect cut his list to seven schools, with the Buckeyes making the cut, as expected.

"First off, I would like to thank every college coach that has given me an opportunity to attend their University," said Tufele in a statement he released on his Twitter account. "It has truly been a blessing but after long talks with my family I have decided to cut my list to seven. These seven schools are the schools that I know will most benefit me, not only as a student but a student-athlete and (in) life after football."

"No order: USC, Ohio State, Utah, (Washington), UCLA, Michigan, and BYU," Tufele posted.

Tufele is the No. 5 defensive tackle prospect in the nation according to Rivals.com, the No. 95 overall prospect and the top player in the state of Utah. Tufele is expected to make an official visit to Ohio State at some point.
