Togiai makes it two for Tuesday

Tommy Togiai commits to Ohio State on Tuesday night
Tommy Togiai commits to Ohio State on Tuesday night

The Buckeyes are having a big night and picked up their second commitment of the night with Pocatello (Idaho) defensive tackle Tommy Togiai on Tuesday night. This is on the heels of landing the pledge of wide receiver Kamryn Babb about an hour earlier.

Togiai is rated as a four-star commit by Rivals.com and is the No. 158 player in the nation. The new Ohio State pledge recently welcome Urban Meyer and Larry Johnson to Idaho on Tuesday and obviously Togiai liked what he heard as he took to social media to announce his Buckeye pledge.

This is the 21st commitment of the class of 2018 for the Buckeyes and a big one as there is always a premium on interior defensive linemen.

The 6-foot-3, 293-pounder was down to a final three and many thought that the Washington Huskies might be the team to beat but to the Buckeyes' credit, they never gave up and the Tuesday visit put the Buckeyes over the top.

Togiai joins Taron Vincent and JUCO star Antwuan Jackson as defensive tackles commits in the class, the Buckeyes strangely enough do not have a defensive end commit in the class after the recent decommitment of Brenton Cox.

We will have more on this breaking news later this evening including the impact of the Togiai commit and what it means for the Buckeyes moving forward.
