ST. LOUIS – Don't look for Parkway North high school lineman Michael Thompson to make many headlines via interview. The Rivals250 lineman is somebody who shows up on the field and would rather stay quiet when cameras and recorders are pointed his way.

But it is hard to miss the 6-foot-4, 273-pounder when he enters the room, a dominating presence to say the least.

Schools have been debating which side of the ball to recruit Thompson on. He does have a side that he prefers, so listen closely schools looking to land the four-star lineman.

"I would rather play defense," Thompson said. "I just always like defense more when playing football."
