The Buckeyes have added another big piece to their 2018 recruiting class as they have landed a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Taron Vincent. The 6-foot-3, 285-pound prospect out of Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy has long been considered an Ohio State lean, but the Buckeyes were able to hold off a late push by Florida State to lock up the nation's top rated defensive tackle.

Vincent named Ohio State his leader approximately a year ago and has maintained a close relationship with Buckeyes' defensive line coach Larry Johnson who recruited Vincent's older brother when Johnson was at Penn State. Those relationships helped Ohio State get its foot in the door early and the Buckeyes never looked back.

Vincent is commitment No. 5 for Ohio State in the 2018 recruiting class and all five of those commitments are rated among the top 65 prospects in the entire nation, giving the Buckeyes the foundation for what could very well be yet another Top 5 recruiting class.

Stay tuned to BuckeyeGrove.com for more on Vincent's commitment and what it means for Ohio State.
