Styles talks first Ohio State visit

Central Ohio has several class of 2021 prospects who have the look of major recruits and one of the best is Pickerington Central wide receiver/defensive back Lorenzo Styles Jr. The Buckeye legacy recruit made his first visit to Ohio State as a recruit on Saturday as the Buckeyes pulled away late to earn a 23-point win over Indiana.

"The visit was amazing," said Styles Jr. "The fans were great. The setup and facilities at Ohio State are also great. I really hope I can get up there again."

Styles Jr. is excelling at both wide receiver and cornerback as a sophomore on a loaded Central team. Right now, wide receiver is his most comfortable position as he continues to learn the cornerback position. With that in mind, Ohio State's big day offensively certainly caught his attention.

"Ohio State has many different and versatile receivers," he said. "I feel like there is a place for all types of receivers in their program."

Communication has recently picked up between Styles and the Ohio State coaching staff. Those relationships are still developing but Saturday was a nice step as he was able to catch up with many of them.

"I talked to coach (Tim) Hinton, coach (Alex) Grinch, as well as coach (Urban) Meyer," he recalled. "All of them had the same message. They wanted me to enjoy myself and make sure we keep developing this relationship. Also they told me they are going to be recruiting me hard and to keep doing what I'm doing on and off the field."

Styles holds early offers from Notre Dame and Vanderbilt, among others.
