Sonny Styles' showcase continues on basketball court ahead of Ohio State

PICKERINGTON, Ohio — Alex “Sonny” Styles is going to Ohio State. He wasn’t going to let anybody forget that Friday night.

As the public address announcer at Pickerington Central High School said the junior’s name ahead of the Tigers’ matchup with Reynoldsburg, the junior got up from the bench, ending his handshake at the end of the line with an “O-H.”

Basketball is not Styles’ main sport. It never was, growing up with a former Ohio State and St. Louis Rams linebacker as a father, growing up with a future Notre Dame wide receiver as his brother.

Styles was not a basketball player. But basketball was better than doing nothing.
