NORCROSS, Georgia — Ohio State recently saw Rivals250 offensive lineman Blake Miller commit to the Clemson Tigers, a surprising twist in his recruitment as most, including myself, viewed him as a Buckeye lean.
With Miller off of the board and joining a program that traditionally doesn’t suffer from decommitments, Greg Studrawa and company will be exploring other options at tackle in the 2022 cycle.
One of their top targets is Addison Nichols, who checks in as the eighth-ranked player at his position. Nichols is in possession of close to 30 offers, but decided back on the Fourth of July to narrow his recruitment down to a dozen schools.
Nichols spoke with BuckeyeGrove about his decision to include Ohio State on that list in the summer, and what they’ve done since then to remain a contender for his services.
“They’re just a really impressive program,” Nichols said. “Been in contact with them a lot for the past few months. Love Coach Stud. Great guy. He has a great passion for the game and great energy. Coach Day, I’ve been speaking with him a lot lately. Great guy, great to get to know him.
