Rivals100 LB Teradja Mitchell releases top three

Rivals100 linebacker Teradja Mitchell is closing in on his commitment. The Virginia Beach (Va.) Bishop Sullivan star was working with a top five of Ohio State, Florida State, Clemson, LSU, and Alabama but has now cut his list to three.

IN HIS OWN WORDS…

“I'm down to three,” Mitchell said. “It's Florida State, Ohio State, and LSU.

“I've been talking to LSU,” he said. “I've been contemplating whether or not I want to get back down there. I'm still looking into that.

“I'm visiting Florida State the weekend of May 12th,” said Mitchell. “This is my last visit before I commit. I want to talk about what they have planned for me academically, athletically, and after football.

“My Ohio State visit had a big impact,” he said. “I really liked everything about it. Coach Meyer's message to me was all about life after football and his plan for me.

“I'm still 50/50 between Florida State and Ohio State,” Mitchell said. “I'm trying to enroll early. I don't have a commitment date yet but I'm thinking late May or early June.”

RIVALS’ REACTION…

Florida State and Ohio State have been battling for Mitchell for a very long time. The Buckeyes were Mitchell’s most recent visit and Ohio State really impressed him. Florida State will get the last chance to influence Mitchell’s decision. The Seminoles have a lot of connections to Mitchell, his high school, and former teammates. Ohio State also has a lot of connection to him but those are through players like Jayln Holmes, Darnell Ewell, and Wayne Daivs that went to other high schools near Mitchell. This will be a very close call for Mitchell when his decision date comes.
