Up until yesterday, all of the prospects we’ve confirmed to have scheduled official visits to Ohio State are slated to visit the school in June.

The Buckeye Bash 2.0 will be held on the first weekend of the month, and several other targets are gearing up to check out Columbus throughout June.

On Friday, however, we saw the first 2022 target for the Buckeyes lock in an official to Columbus for the weekend of a marquee matchup. Marvin Jones Jr., the third-ranked weak-side defensive end on Rivals, says he will be in attendance for Ohio State’s matchup with Oregon on Sept. 11.

“The people around me have been telling me that the facilities are top-tier,” Jones told BuckeyeGrove. “It’s going to be exciting getting to meet Coach Johnson, obviously. Definitely meeting the coaching staff is what I’m looking forward to the most.”
