Keller makes return visit

The class of 2020 quarterback situation is a long way from being figured out, but Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer product Riley Keller continues to get a close look from the Buckeyes. Keller was back on campus this past Saturday for the third time since late July and for the second time this season.

This time, Keller got to see the Buckeyes put together a dominant effort in a blowout win over Maryland. Keller's previous visit had been for the Oklahoma game. But coming from a high-powered spread attack at Whitmer, Keller saw a lot to like in Ohio Stadium on Saturday.

"I thought offensively they were very similar to the offense I run at Whitmer and it's fun to watch," Keller said. "And of course the environment there is very fun to be around."

Though just a sophomore, Keller already has 18 starts under his belt after a standout freshman season. The big numbers have caught the attention of Ohio State quarterbacks coach Ryan Day and the two have started to connect more in recent months as Keller has been able to make it to campus.

"I talked to coach Day on Saturday," Keller explained. "He said he's going to be up for a visit. I'm not sure if that will be (to watch him play a game) or to (visit the school) yet."

Keller does not currently have any visits planned for the rest of the season, though that could change. Keller and Whitmer are currently sitting at 7-0 on the season and are in line for the top seed in Ohio's Division 1 Region 2.
