COLUMBUS, Ohio-After a 48-3 drubbing of Michigan State last weekend, Ohio State is on a clear path to earn the Big Ten East title and an appearance in a conference championship for the first time since 2014. However, there are still obstacles in the Buckeyes’ way including one last home game of the 2017 season against Illinois. Here are three storylines as the Buckeyes take on the Fighting Illini on Saturday.

The tandem backfield

Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer said in the week prior to the Michigan State game that he had to give J.K. Dobbins more carries in future games. Little did he know, both Dobbins and Mike Weber would be the main catalysts in the Buckeyes’ 45-point win over the Spartans.
