Ohio State is beginning to take a closer look at in-state class of 2020 prospects. On Monday, the Buckeyes offered their third Ohioan of the cycle in Cincinnati Princeton defensive end Darrion Henry.

The 6-foot-4, 255-pound prospect was a standout at the Cleveland Under Armour camp on Sunday. He then made an unofficial visit to Ohio State on his way back to Cincinnati where he was offered in person by the Ohio State coaching staff.

"I got the offer from Larry Johnson," Henry explained. "This offer is a big one and I think it will open the door for more big ones."

Henry was able to get some feedback from Johnson and the defensive staff as to why they were putting out the early offer.

"(Johnson said) that I was fast off the ball," he recalled. "He likes my strength and my frame."

While the offer was the highlight of the visit for Henry, he was also impressed by Ohio State's interest in his future development.

"How the coaches want to see me get better (stood out the most)," he added.

The offer from the Buckeyes is a big one for Henry.

"I grew up on UC and OSU football my whole life," he said. "I also usually watch the biggest games that come on Saturday's."

Some of Henry's other early offers include; Cincinnati, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Michigan State.
