Ohio guard hearing from the Buckeyes

Ohio's class of 2019 has plenty of quality guards and Trotwood-Madison product Amari Davis is one of the state's top pure scorers. The 6-foot-4 prospect recently led his team to a big win over Dayton Dunbar, dropping 20 points.

Recruiting is still going well for Davis who holds a handful of offers and is hearing from the state's heavy-hitters.

"I have offers from IUPUI, Cleveland State, Akron," Davis explained. "Schools interested are Xavier, Cincinnati, Iowa, and Ohio State."

The state's 'Big 3' of Ohio State, Cincinnati, and Xavier are all having big seasons and are all now ranked in the top 10. Davis is in communication with all three and likes what he has seen from the trio.

On Ohio State: "I like the way their team plays. They came into the season unranked and now they're ranked. I've been up there before and it's a nice campus."

On Cincinnati: "They're just 45 minutes away. I like the way they play and the atmosphere there."

On Xavier: "They talk to me every day. They're trying to build a relationship with me. They are a tough team and they play fast the way we play."

Davis is getting it done on both ends of the floor as a junior. He is currently averaging 20.8 points per game and 5.1 steals per game.
