COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Buckeyes have played the Wisconsin Badgers three previous times under coach Urban Meyer and hold a 3-0 record over their Big Ten west foes. But this will be the first time that Meyer will face a Paul Chryst-led Wisconsin team after last facing the Badgers in the 2014 Big Ten Championship game under then-coach Gary Andersen.

If you consider the 2014 game a bit of an anomaly, or a perfect storm, then the last two games with the Badgers have both been close, Ohio State winning each of those games by a touchdown.

In 2013 the Buckeyes ran up a 31-14 lead through three quarters before the Badgers would close it to a seven-point margin in the fourth quarter but would hold on after giving the Badgers a final chance with a potential game-tying drive with 1:22 to go, only to have a Joel Stave 4th down pass fall incomplete. The Badgers would actually outgain the Buckeyes in that contest but Braxton Miller would throw for four touchdowns and be the difference as Jared Abbrederis had 207 receiving yards on 10 receptions.

Then of course there was the 2012 game where the Buckeyes had to go to overtime in Madison (Wis.) and Carlos Hyde punched in a two-yard touchdown in Ohio State's offensive series of overtime while the Badgers came up short as Christian Bryant batted down Curt Phillips pass on 4th down to save the win, 21-14.
