Buckeyes kick off Saturday with a huge commitment

As the Buckeyes host one of their most talent-laden recruiting weekends in recent memory, they started Saturday with a boom, landing Rivals250 offensive tackle Max Wray. Wray's father confirmed the commitment in a text message to BuckeyeGrove.com.

The 6-foot-6, 282-pound prospect committed to Ohio State just a week after making an unofficial visit to Columbus (Ohio) with his family. Wray had been down to a final group of Alabama, LSU, Tennessee, and Ohio State coming out of the visit.

The one-time Georgia commit was thought to be leaning towards Alabama in recent weeks as a visit to Tuscaloosa had timed up with his decommitment from UGA. But Ohio State was able to swoop in and steal one from the SEC after impressing the family last week.

Wray is commitment No. 6 for Ohio State in the 2018 recruiting class, all six prospects are rated at least four-stars by Rivals.com and are all among the top 200 prospects in the nation.

Stay tuned to BuckeyeGrove.com for more on Wray's pledge to Ohio State.
