COLUMBUS, Ohio- The Ohio State offense has been very difficult to stop since the Buckeyes lost to Oklahoma in Week 2. Going into the Maryland game with three straight games of over 35 points and at least 550 total yards of offense, Ohio State continued that streak, beating the Terrapins 62-14 with 584 yards of offense. Here are the postgame grades for the offense.

Quarterback

Quarterback J.T. Barrett had a very similar game to last week against Rutgers. That was a very good sign for how the pass offense did.

Completing 64.5 percent of his passes, Barrett threw for 261 yards with three touchdowns. Averaging 7.4 yards per carry, he also rushed for 59 yards on eight carries with a touchdown.

Dwayne Haskins, in a short appearance, had some success in the passing game, completing three of four pass attempts for 42 yards. However, he had six rushed for 15 yards, fumbling the ball and losing possession in the fourth quarter.

During Ohio State’s four-game winning streak, Barrett’s stats are something to talk about. He’s completed over 60 percent of his passes in each of those games, after completing 57.1 percent and 54.3 percent against Indiana and Oklahoma. He has averaged 256.5 passing yards per game while throwing 13 touchdowns and no interceptions.

If the player running the offense is putting up those kinds of numbers, the offense will most likely do pretty well. That is what is going on with Barrett and Ohio State right now.
