Mangham impressed with Buckeyes offense

The Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech program continues to churn out elite talent. In the 2019 class, running back/athlete Jaren Mangham is emerging as one of the next stars of the future at the program. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect was in Columbus on Saturday to watch Ohio State's season opening win over Bowling Green.

"I had a great time at the game," explained Mangham. "I loved the atmosphere of the whole campus."

Former Cass Tech running back Mike Weber had a big day in his Ohio State debut as Mangham looked on. Weber is a player that many inside the Cass Tech program look up to, especially running backs like Mangham.

"I liked the way the offense looks," he recalled. "I know Mike Weber pretty well. I watched his film a lot to help improve my game and I also talk to him."

Mangham was able to reunite with Ohio State assistant Kerry Coombs who serves as the primary recruiter for the Buckeyes when it comes to Detroit area prospects.

"I talked to coach Coombs," he said. "We always talk. He asked how my game went and he also asked if I had a great time (on the visit). He said he wants us to keep in touch."

Mangham holds early offers from Central Michigan, Cincinnati, Kentucky, and Missouri.
