Legacy guard lands offer

It seemed like only a matter of time before Ohio State would offer class of 2020 Dublin (Ohio) Coffman point guard Dominiq Penn. That time came on Sunday for the legacy guard prospect as the offer came through from Chris Holtmann on the heels of Penn's unofficial visit on Saturday.

"I called them and all of the coaches were on the phone," said Penn of the moment he got the offer. "Then coach Holtmann offered me. I feel very blessed and excited."

Penn was part of an impressive in-state group of basketball visitors that Holtmann and company hosted as part of the Buckeye football team's big win over Penn State on Saturday.

"(The football game) was very fun," he said. "I really enjoyed myself."

While Penn did not immediately jump on the scholarship offer, it would appear the sophomore guard now has plenty to think about.

"I'm still planning what I want to do," he said. "I'm trying to decide with my family what I should do."

Penn also recently visited Notre Dame and is hearing from Indiana, Dayton, Louisville, Xavier and others.
