Class of 2020 Toledo (Ohio) Whitmer quarterback Riley Keller burst onto the scene last fall putting up big numbers as a freshman starter. Since that time, the Big Ten interest has started to roll in from programs such as Ohio State and Michigan State. Keller made his first visit to Ohio State as a recruit last week, taking part in the Friday Night Lights camp in Ohio Stadium.

"It was a great experience," said Keller. "I had been waiting for this day to come for a while. I hadn't been down to Ohio State since like third grade."

Keller was part of a very talented group of quarterbacks and the competition was a great measuring stick for the rising sophomore.

"There were a lot of good competitors so it was a good opportunity to show what I can do," he explained. "I was in the main group with coach Day. He introduced himself and he brought me into the (top group) and I just tried to do my best."

Overall, Keller walked away very pleased with his performance.

"I don't think I could have thrown much better," he said. "I thought I had a really good day."

As a freshman, Keller threw 17 touchdown passes and set a few school records along the way, including the single game passing mark in a win over St. John's. The word will be out this fall and teams will be gunning for him, but the focus this off-season has been more mental than physical.

"Right now I'm just getting ready for two-a-days, the team is looking really good this year," he said. "I'm working on leading my team, I've been pushing in the weight room and on the field, trying to make sure that everything is perfect. I think once you are the leader, everything else comes together."

Keller holds early offers from Ole Miss and Toledo.
