For the past year, Old Tappan (NJ) defensive back Jordan Fuller has been a high priority target for Ohio State. On Monday night, the Buckeyes closed the deal by landing Fuller's pledge, as he becomes commitment No. 23 in the 2016 Ohio State class.

"Ohio State is just the best place for me," Fuller told BuckeyeGrove.com.

Fuller chose the Buckeyes from approximately 30 scholarship offers but had recently narrowed things down to Ohio State, Michigan, and Notre Dame. All three Midwestern powers had their in-home visits with Fuller on Wednesday, with Ohio State and head coach Urban Meyer getting the last shot on Wednesday night.

While Ohio State had always been in the mix for Fuller's services, things really revved up in recent weeks. Fuller was on the same Army Bowl team as five Buckeye commits who all worked on getting the versatile athlete on board. From there, Fuller made his official visit to Columbus the following weekend which allowed Ohio State to keep the momentum going all the way through Meyer's in-home on Wednesday.

Fuller is rated a three-star prospect by Rivals.com and the No. 10 player in the state of New Jersey for the 2016 class.
