Ever since former four-star defensive tackle recruit Antwuan Jackson announced a transfer from Auburn to Blinn Junior College in Texas, the Ohio State coaching staff has taken a renewed interest. The Buckeyes missed out on Jackson the first time around, but were the runner-up to the Tigers when Jackson came out of Cedar Grove High School outside of Atlanta (Ga.) in the 2016 recruiting class.

On Tuesday morning, the Buckeyes re-offered Jackson and the 6-foot-2, 305-pound prospect was excited to receive the news.

"I'm blessed to receive a second chance to attend an awesome school," Jackson told BuckeyeGrove.com on Tuesday.

Jackson has not yet played a game at Blinn as this weekend's opener was postponed as Hurricane Harvey causes all sorts of problems in Texas. But Jackson picked up his Buckeye offer anyway and is excited about the potential opportunity the offer presents.

"I've prayed and kept working hard for these opportunities to come," he added.

Jackson was rated the No. 9 defensive tackle in the 2016 class and the No. 98 overall prospect when he signed with Auburn. After taking a redshirt last year, Jackson left the program and should he complete all of the necessary coursework, he will be able to transfer back to the Division I level for the 2018 season. He is expected to have three years of eligibility remaining at that time.
