J.T. Barrett receives Davey O'Brien National Quarterback of the Week award

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The awards keep coming after Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett’s performance against Nebraska on Saturday night. Barrett was named as the Davey O’Brien National Quarterback of the Week.

In the game against the Cornhuskers, Barrett completed 27 passes on 33 attempts, throwing for 325 yards and five touchdowns while adding 48 yards and two touchdowns on the ground in the 56-14 win. He led the Buckeyes to touchdowns on eight straight drives, leading him to tie Drew Brees’ Big Ten record of 90 career touchdowns.

Along with the Davey O’Brien award, Barrett was named as the Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, the Rose Bowl Game’s Big Ten Player of the Week and the Manning Award Star of the Week.

No. 6 Ohio State is off this week and will take on Penn State on Saturday, October 28th.
