In-state prospect no longer visiting

Cincinnati (Ohio) Winton Woods linebacker Chris Oats had been planning to visit Ohio State this weekend, the final official visit weekend of the cycle. Those plans have now changed according to the four-star prospect.

"(The visit) is off," Oats informed BuckeyeGrove.com via text message.

Oats' recruitment has primarily been a battle between Kentucky and Ohio State in recent months. No official word if Oats will visit anywhere this weekend, though there are rumors of a potential unofficial visit to Kentucky taking place.

Oats is rated the No. 15 overall prospect in the state of Ohio for the 2018 recruiting class.
