Good first visit for impressive QB prospect

Ohio State is piecing together its class of 2019 quarterbacks board as this will be new QB's coach Ryan Day's first major recruiting decision since taking the job this winter. One prospect who has caught the eye of Day and the rest of the offensive staff is Allen (Texas) product Grant Tisdale.

The 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect made his first visit to Ohio State on Friday where he was able to workout in front of Day.

"I loved it," said Tisdale of the visit. "I really enjoyed meeting everyone up there and just seeing how they coach their players and getting a look around campus. But I left very impressed."

Getting some work in with Day was a good preview of what it would be like in the quarterbacks room in Columbus.

"I got to see how he works with his QB's and the drills that he does," Tisdale explained. "So it was a great bonding experience and we got to know each other better so that's cool."

Tisdale is the teammate of class of 2019 four-star wide receiver Theo Wease who was also recently offered by Ohio State. The two share a great connection both on and off the field and while each will make his own decision, the thought of playing together in college has come up frequently.

"We have (talked about going to the same college)," he said. "I would love to play with him on the next level. I have built a bond with him that not many people have so I would love to play with him."

The four-star signal caller says he will visit Ohio State again in the future.

"I will most definitely be back in Columbus with my parents so that they can have a look for themselves," he added.
