Gill makes it official with Ohio State

If it seems like Jaelen Gill has been on the Ohio State recruiting scene for several years, it's because he has. The Westerville (Ohio) South speedster showed up to an Ohio State one-day camp in June before his freshman season and took home the fastest man competition. He never looked back from that point on, earning an early offer from the Buckeyes after his freshman season.

Gill would go on to become a national recruit, earning offers from coast-to-coast and spending his sophomore and junior seasons visiting many of those programs. But no matter how far he traveled to visit his other contenders, it always seemed to come right back to Ohio State.

After flirting with UCLA, Tennessee, USC, Michigan, and many others, Gill made his commitment to Ohio State last March and immediately became one of the Buckeyes' most active recruiters in helping to bring talent with him to Columbus in the 2018 class.

Now the versatile offensive weapon is officially a Buckeye, signing his letter of intent on Wednesday morning. Gill will spend the rest of his senior year running track and playing baseball before enrolling at Ohio State this summer.
