Gant trims list and sets decision date

Toledo (Ohio) St. John's linebacker Dallas Gant has been one of Ohio State's most coveted class of 2018 targets for more than a year now. The 6-foot-3, 208-pound prospect has amassed more than 20 scholarship offers to this point and has recently visited many of the contenders for his services.

With that in mind, it was time on Monday night for Gant to cut his list and set an announcement date. The four-star prospect is down to five schools and will announce his college choice on May 16th, his birthday.

Gant's recruitment has been and will continue to be a classic Midwest battle with four Big Ten schools, as well as Notre Dame, making the cut.
