Four-star running back looking to visit Ohio State

Ohio State received some bad news on Sunday with the decommitment of Rivals250 running back Sampson James. But possible replacements are already beginning to emerge. The Buckeyes have been in contact with four-star Katy (Texas) product Deondrick Glass recently.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound prospect is working on setting up a visit to Columbus.

"I've been speaking with coach (Tony) Alford," Glass told BuckeyeGrove.com. "We are discussing dates on when it's a good, available time for both of us (for an official visit)."

With Ohio State looking to add at least one more running back at this point, the Buckeyes have the attention of Glass who has been a productive player for three seasons now after combining to rush for just over 3,000 yards as a sophomore and junior.

"My interest level is high," he said. "I know the Buckeyes have a history and a winning tradition. It's also a great place to earn a degree to compete in the real world."

Glass holds more than two dozen offers from many big programs around the nation. He considers himself a complete back that prides himself on doing all of the little things.

"I would describe my game as a mix between Barry Sanders and Walter Payton," he said. "Those are the two guys I studied coming up. My dad introduced them to me at the age of 5 and I fell in love with the way they both ran the ball. My strengths on the field are that I'm a great pass blocker also and I can catch like a wide receiver. I also have great speed, I am basically a three-down back."

Glass will be waiting until after his season to make a college decision.
