For most Ohio State commits, last week was the final week of scrimmages before the season kicks off this week. But a few future Buckeyes took the field for their season openers and a couple of other targets had big nights as well.

Other notable performances

- Ohio State commit Jaelen Gill had a great August with big scrimmage performances. He scored on a 70-yard touchdown run in the half he played against Pickerington North in his team's final tune up.


- Class of 2019 wide receiver target David Bell hauled in eight receptions for about 180 yards and two touchdowns in Warren Central's (IN) season opening 27-24 win over Center Grove.


- Teague wasn't the only star for Murfreesboro (Blackman) on Friday night. Class of 2019 priority target Trey Knox, a 6-foot-5, 218-pound wide receiver, caught six passes for 174 yards and two touchdowns.
