Following the Future: Week Twelve

Throughout the season we'll be tracking the Ohio State commits to see how they perform on the football field each week. The playoffs are in full swing and several Ohio State commits advanced this weekend while a couple saw their seasons and high school careers end. Quarterback Emory Jones and tight end Jeremy Ruckert continued to make big plays for their teams who both rolled to wins this weekend.

Banks and Jones High were eliminated from the playoffs and their season is over. Banks and the secondary held Gibbons to just 133 yards passing on 11-for-23, but the defense gave up more than 300 yards on the ground.

Smith caught three passes for just four yards as the Wayne passing game went 4-for-17 for three yards on the game. Despite the loss, Wayne is in the playoffs.

Smith and Wayne fell in the first round of the playoffs on Friday night, so his season is over. Smith was held to two receptions for 16 yards, but did have one catch negated by a penalty and he drew two pass interference calls.
