Five-star prospect to visit Ohio State this weekend

Big change of plans for Peoples-Jones this weekend. (Nick Lucero)

Ohio State will look to benefit this weekend from some unfortunate circumstances in the state of Florida. As Hurricane Matthew works its way up the Florida coast, college football games have been put in doubt for Saturday. Five-star Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech wide receiver Donovan Peoples-Jones was set to visit the University of Florida for the big showdown against LSU, but with the concerns about the weather, he'll be heading to Columbus (Ohio) instead.

Ohio State has been considered on the outside looking in for Peoples-Jones for quite some time but the change of plans gives the Buckeyes perhaps one more shot to convince the top wide receiver prospect in the Midwest to take his talents about three hours south of Detroit.

Ohio State was the first college program to offer Peoples-Jones a scholarship a couple of years ago and the five-star talent has maintained that, because of that, the Buckeyes would always be under consideration.
