Buckeyes leading the pack for IMG standout

The 2020 class has a long way to go before being sorted out, but Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy safety Lejond Cavazos has already established himself as a national prospect. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound prospect has picked up early offers from Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Michigan, Oklahoma, Tennessee, and Ohio State, among others.

Cavazos was part of a strong group of underclassmen visitors on Saturday for Ohio State's win over Penn State.

"Amazing," said Cavazos of the environment. "The atmosphere and the coaching staff (stood out the most about the visit)."

Cavazos is of course a teammate of class of 2018 Ohio State defensive tackle commit Taron Vincent. Vincent is quiet by nature but does make sure to let his younger teammate know about the Buckeyes here and there. Vincent hasn't had to do much pushing on the subject, however as Ohio State has jumped out to an early lead.

"He really just tells me how good they play on defense," he said. "Ohio State is definitely my number one school."

A return visit is a definite, it's just a matter of when for the Texas native.

"If I don't get back for another game this season, I'll be coming early next year," he added.
