Ohio State has added another big piece to its 2017 recruiting puzzle, landing four-star JUCO defensive back Kendall Sheffield on Tuesday afternoon. The 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect out of Blinn Junior College in Texas, picked the Buckeyes over in-state powers Texas and Texas A&M among others.

Sheffield originally signed with Alabama in the 2015 recruiting class after taking an official visit to Ohio State. The Buckeyes re-entered the picture for Sheffield during his time at Blinn and hosted him on another official visit in November, the weekend of the Michigan game.

Sheffield is the No. 3 overall JUCO prospect in the 2017 recruiting class according to Rivals.com.
