The class of 2017 has been very kind to Ohio State so far and the Buckeyes added yet another Rivals250 prospect to the mix on Tuesday morning in Ann Arbor (Mich.) Pioneer outside linebacker Antjuan Simmons.

The 6-foot-1, 199-pound prospect has recently whittled his list to a top 10 and while there was some thought that Ohio State was in good shape, Simmons joined the fold earlier than perhaps anticipated. He announced his choice via his Twitter account.

"First off I just want to thank God for everything he has blessed me with," Simmons started. "I want to thank all of the schools that have taken the time to recruit me and offered me a scholarship to play football, but as you know, I can only choose one so I'll be choosing to commit to The Ohio State University."

Simmons, who plays his high school football in the shadow of Michigan's 'Big House' is commitment No. 12 for Ohio State in the 2017 class. He is the eighth Rivals250 prospect to commit to the Buckeyes so far in the class.

Simmons is the No. 10 rated outside linebacker in the 2017 class by Rivals.com. He is the No. 191 overall recruit in the nation and the No. 5 prospect in Michigan.
