Ohio State hosted some very intriguing class of 2019 prospects on Saturday, including Huntington (WV) Spring Valley offensive tackle Doug Nester. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound prospect holds early offers from the likes of Louisville, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia and he came away impressed with his time in Columbus on Saturday.

"The thing that stood out was just how much emphasis they put on how they're going to keep you safe and how they're going to help you get a career," said Nester. "And plus just how nice the facilities were."

Nester was able to get plenty of insight into the program during his time on campus and even had a chance to meet with head coach Urban Meyer. Meyer gave the sophomore some encouragement and hopes to see him back on campus sooner rather than later.

"I got to talk to a lot of people and I got to talk to Coach Meyer," he recalled. "(Meyer) just told me to keep working and come back up and visit in the spring and come back for camp."

Located just a few hours from Columbus, Nester says he has always had a fondness for the Ohio State program.

"My interest level is really high" he said. "It's been my favorite college ever since I was little. I've always wanted the opportunity to play there."

Nester added that he is working hard to improve all aspects of his craft this off-season.
