Buckeyes host Ohio junior linebacker

With bowl practices ramping up, Ohio State won't just be focusing on senior recruiting targets but underclassmen will be invited to campus for unofficial visits over the next couple of weeks. Class of 2019 Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney linebacker Luke Fulton was one of a few Ohio prospects to check things out over the weekend. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prospect was on campus on Sunday.

"The visit was great, the coaches were very personable guys and the whole atmosphere was competitive which was exciting," Fulton told BuckeyeGrove.com after his visit.

Fulton holds early offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Kentucky, and Toledo. Even coming from one of Ohio's top high school programs, he was surprised and impressed with the intensity of the bowl practice.

"The high pace of the practice stood out," he said. "They made every rep seem to be the most important one."

During his visit he also had a chance to speak with linebackers coach Bill Davis.

"It was all positive feedback from all the coaches," Fulton recalled. "They are all looking forward to developing a relationship with me they said."

Like many people in that part of Ohio, Fulton has always had an affinity for the Buckeyes

"I've always followed OSU growing up," he added. "Being from Youngstown, Ohio, everybody there is a fan of Ohio State so being recruited by them is a very cool experience."

Fulton recorded 126 tackles and forced seven fumbles during his junior season.
