Baldwin commits to Ohio State

The Buckeyes were not going to be caught without a quarterback in the class of 2018 with the graduation of one quarterback and the unknown of what the offseason could hold. On Thursday night, Austin (Texas) Lake Travis quarterback Matthew Baldwin, a one-time Colorado State commit, pulled the trigger.

Ohio State now technically has two quarterback commits in the class with Emory Jones still committed but his status has been the subject of much conversation as he has still be receptive to other schools after committing to Ohio State many months ago.

The 6-foot-3, 195-pounder comes from a school that has turned out a quarterback or two with quarterbacks like Baker Mayfield and Garrett Gilbert both having played at Lake Travis high school.

According to MaxPreps.com, Baldwin's senior season saw him throw for 3,397 yards and a 71-percent clip with a 219-308 season with 41 touchdowns against six interceptions.

We will have more on this breaking news as it becomes available.
