Any time a positional group has found success and a program is seeing players head off to the NFL before all of their eligibility is up, it means they’re doing something right.

This happens to be the case with Ohio State as they are currently seeing Wyatt Davis and Josh Myers head off to this year's NFL Draft. Next year, Ohio State is more than likely going to see a couple more offensive linemen land in the early first two rounds with Nick Petit-Frere and Thayer Munford.

When coaches are losing players to the NFL faster than they can find their replacement, it becomes even more crucial to up the level of recruiting at the position.

Ohio State has been very persistent in offensive line recruiting in the past couple months offering guys like in-state prospects Joshua Padilla, and Aamil Wagner. But Ohio State has handed out a variety of offers to players who may not be receiving the same amount of attention as others, with one of those being 2023 OT Clay Wedin out of Tampa (Florida).

“I was really excited and really blessed when I got that offer from the staff,” said Wedin, who was offered back on July 23. “I was definitely happy about it because I’ve always liked how they develop all their players.”
