COLUMBUS, Ohio - Through six games the Ohio State offense has put up better numbers in 2013 than it did in 2012, of course the schedule from one year to another always plays a major contributing factor in the numbers.

Everyone was expecting a more explosive offense in 2013 and the numbers tend to show that things are moving in the right direction, with Braxton Miller or Kenny Guiton under center.

Category 2013 2012
Rushing Offense 280.70 248.67
Passing Offense 212.20 182.83
Total Offense 492.80 431.50
Scoring Offense 46.8 38.5
Stats through first six games of the season

But that doesn't mean that the Buckeyes will be able to rest of what they have accomplished in the first half of the season moving into the second half of the season. Teams know that Ohio State would like to feed Carlos Hyde the ball and that the Buckeyes would like to go for the quick strike pass in the vertical passing game.

On Wednesday we caught up with Tom Herman to get his thoughts on the offense and we have his full comments in this free video update.
