Games Noon
Washington vs. Stanford
Marc Says: Stanford's biggest test of the young season awaits as they host undefeated Washington on Saturday night. The Cardinal are coming off back to back impressive conference wins against Arizona State and Washington State and the offensive output has been improving each and every week. Washington, on the other hand, has been doing it with defense as the Huskies are 4th in the nation, allowing just 10.8 points per game. Something is going to have to give here and with the home crowd fired up I look for the Stanford offense to continue to roll. Stanford 37 Washington 28
Maryland vs. Florida St.
AndyMac Says: Ah yes! Jameis Winston. The second most popular quarterback behind Johnny Football. Since his debut in Heinz Field, Winston has become an early Heisman candidate and has Seminoles fans making BCS title plans for the first time in a decade. And don't get me wrong, I'm also drinking the Winston kool-aid but the Terps have an impressive QB too in C.J. Brown. The Pittsburgh native has similar numbers after four games and like Winston, has a bevy of talent around him. The Noles historically drop a game they should win. Could it happen this weekend? Florida State 41 Maryland 38
Georgia vs. Tennessee
Andrew Says: Is Georgia the best team in the SEC? Maybe. I still like Alabama, but no SEC team--or any other team, for that matter--has two better wins than the Bulldogs do in South Carolina and LSU. Aaron Murray seems to have taken a step forward and is performing well in big games. Mark Richt has done a good job replacing a bevy of defensive talent that left Athens for the NFL. I expect Georgia to have no problem following up a win against LSU with a win at Tennessee. And at this moment, it looks like we will be treated to Round Two of Alabama-Georgia in the SEC title game. Georgia 31 Tennessee 17
Arizona St. vs. Notre Dame
Tom Says: The Notre Dame Fighting Irish travel to Tempe (Ariz.) this week for a battle with the 22nd ranked Arizona State Wildcats. This promises to be a great game with the explosive ASU offense, led by QB Taylor Kelly and multi-talented running back Marion Grace attacking the Irish defense led by LB Carlo Calabrese and cornerback Bennett Jackson. Normally, I would expect a 3 - 2 Irish team, with their backs against the wall to rebound and win a game like this, but they are playing in Tempe, not South Bend, and I think the Sun Devils speed and fire power will overcome the Irish overall. Arizona State 41 Notre Dame 27
Michigan St. vs. Iowa
Noon Says: This is a game with some knowns, like Iowa can run the football and Michigan State has no offense but a very good defense. This game has some unknowns too, like just how good is Iowa, is it getting fat on bad competition? And How is Michigan State going to score points on anyone with a pulse from a BCS conference? Iowa has won three of the last four including the last game in a 19-16 game that was more exciting than the score indicates and I really think that the Spartan offense is not good and while MSU should slow down Iowa, the Spartans won't be able to score enough to win. Iowa 17 Michigan State 13
Georgia Tech vs. Miami (Fla.)
Patrick Says: Miami isn't the juggernaut they used to be (they're a ways off from that) but you can't help but notice/admire what the Hurricanes are doing this season under Al Golden. At 4-0, he and the U have the opportunity to move to 5-0 for the first time since 2004 if they can take down Georgia Tech. Of course, they'll need need to stop the Yellow Jackets' infamous triple option. I don't think it'll be a problem. Miami, which upset Florida earlier this season, might be the real deal. Miami 35 Georgia Tech 31
Minnesota vs. Michigan
Illinois vs. Nebraska
Penn State vs. Indiana
Missouri vs. Vanderbilt
